Thanks Guys. The wheels are Billet Specialties 18x8 . The tires are Yokohama 245/40/18. All 4 wheels are the same. I should have gone a little taller on the rear. The front is maxed any bigger I will have rubbing issues

Nice ride! First fuel injected 502 that I have seen on here. Spray or not 10.73 is kicking it for a street car. What does she run without the spray on the 18s? I am sure you would have to pedal it but would like to know the mph as much as the et. What gear and have you ever checked the mileage? Wish our smilies included the thumbs up.

forget the 18's on the track. A 1/4 mile run would take about 3 weeks LOL. I have 3.90 gears in a 8.5 inch G/N rear. I never checked the fuel miliage. This summer I will have to check. When I was putting the car together that was the last thing on my mind. My buddy says the car can outrun everything but a gas station LOL. Thanks for your complements 😀

Well the reason I ask is because when I built my 509 powered Cutlass I was considering 17s or 18s but did not know if they would hook well enough as I did not want to get embarrassed by a lesser car. My first goals for the build were reliability & drive ability as I knew someone would always be faster but I still didn't want to get embarrassed by a lesser car due to traction. So I was looking for some proof that it would be better than skating on black ice. I know they have drag radials in 17s but I am not sure about 18s.

I asked about mileage because of the fuel injection and similar engine size & car. Mileage was never a priority to my build but gas is expensive and I wanted to actually enjoy driving it instead of saying I own it but can't afford to drive it. Many told the number one thing I could do for mileage without sacrificing performance was fuel injection. I believe its transmission choice. My transmission choice was mostly about keeping the rpms down on a quarter mile geared car so that I could also drive it out of town & up on the local interstates. Back to reliability & longevity as spinning a bearing or something wouldn't be cool. But somewhat decent mileage would be a plus on a real driver. Anyway I like your ride just trying to learn a little about it.
