Just took another look at that pic, the clip is upside down holdin the valve in. If ya flip it over u will have room for the actuator to move.

Choice B

Im leaning toward choice B because it would be much simplier to replace if a fan ever failed. Im worried about not enough air flowing through it going down the road were Choice A will have more cut out..

Option A blades are 1.5" away from fins.
Option B blades are 1" away from fins.

Not sure really. I dug through the shift kit box and found the original clip, and I looked at the setup again. The valve is pushing itself back out, in a matter that if it was stiffer would pull the cable back. Your saying the lever with the spring hold in together is upside down and the connection point for the cable should face upwards?

Trans dipstick is in. Holddown through the bellhousing bolt is tight. Pans is back on. Cooler lines bolted up at both end. I cut a 1/2" out of the shifter linkage and its not rubbing nothing and I have all gears. Fabricated a radiator holddown that looks decent. The black paint dont match exactly.

Pulled the first three threads out of the head behind the alt, ran a tap through it and still have another 1" of threads. Crossmember bolts need tightened. Fuel line needs ran from the pump to carb. Header put back on, valve cover put back on.

Debating about changing the drive speedometer gear before I put the first fluid in it. It'll be wrong if I dont, but It'll be wrong after I change gears anyway. So i may wait.

I got about 300 miles on the new combo before the accumulator seal started leaking again. Too dang cold to mess with it now. I got a 650 Holley I need to put on it. Lower the front and maybe the back. I have a 28 spline 3.42 gear rear end that I'm going to use the carrier and gears from and the spider gears of the 26 spline now and keep my axles, I hope, unless someone can tell me why it wont work.

I'm fairly certain the spider gears will end up sloppy as they are slightly smaller. I know i pulled off something like that before in my Elky but there was enough slop the c clip came out while driving. We ended up welding washers to the end of the axles to band-aid it but i never really trusted it.
