Any particular reason you want full length? Shorties are essentially the same size as the stock manifolds. Sure, power might go down a little, but they're less of a hassle. But you'd have to get downpipes made at a shop or do em yourself.

Well from what I remember the engine compartments of all the stubby late 70s and 1980 A bodies were all the same, so long tubes from a malibu should work. Don't be afraid to beat on em a bit to make some room. Dyno tests done by HotRod basically lost no HP or torque with a completely mangled set of headers. You can always look on your local craigslist. On the Des Moines one here in IA there's always SB and BB chevy headers for like 50 bucks.

yeah, I planned to look on Craigslist or eBay for some SBC parts. especially headers. no point of paying top dollar for new ones if someone has a set laying around. what year malibus?

alright thanks man, I appreciate it. I'll give these a look over when I get out of work. hoping to have it done for summer time. the exhaust isn't bad now but you can tell it's got a hole.

From 78 to 88 i believe (or whenever they stopped) the malibus were all the same.

It should. Have the shop or you tuck them as close as possible. Inch to inch and a half is good from floor to pipe. Get a dual hump cross member too. All g body aftermarket ones are the same. Iceman on gbody parts website makes a nice tubular one for cheap.
