The leak is actually behind the oil fill neck. I'm sure it's just a gasket. Since a cracked head would be pouring water ino the oil. And I can see it spraying between the mating surfaces. Question is do I have to remove the distributor and valley pan? Secondly I can't find a Haynes manual for tourqe lbs and if so need rtv.

One of the many good things about the Olds V8 is the intake is not attached to the distributor.

Well I carefully saved all the trim parts from the roof. Removed the vinal and glue. Low an behold a 1 1/2 hole the entire width of the roof! I'll snap some pictures after I calm down. Luckily it's after the rivits for the clips. So I'm going to pull the head liner. And get some tin and glue it to the underside of the roof with the Eastman panel glue and feather in the area with filler? Then reinstall the trim. How's that sound? $900.00 car is showing its dark side. Got my spare back window so hopefully the weather holds out to glue it in.

Got my window in and welded up a nasty hole under the rear sail panel. So we are now water tight. Vacumed and cleaned the interior. Probably the first time in years. Actually looks great. Ordered my intake gasket. Whole $27.50. Much nicer than my Datsun! Master cylinder is also 33.00 got to bleed the brakes first.
