My Cutlass feels the same way with the steering. I kinda liked how I was able to steer the car around in parking lots with my pinky no problem. Your right about how sketchy it is on the highway.
A buddy of mine bought an '82 Regal (White w/light blue interior) for $200 from behind a shop about a 1/4 mile from my house. I had no idea it was there!!
Originally, the owner said it wouldn't start so my buddy brought some gas and a can of starting fluid. Drove it home!!
