What's going on everyone, new to the forum, my name is Sal and I drive a T-TOP 1986 Monte Carlo SS. The car is currently in my buddy's shop, we are dropping in a Built SBC 355, MSD Ignition, new headers, new exhaust, new fuel pump, radiator, Belltech shocks with Eibach lowering springs and we are removing the AC and Cruise control, engine bay will look a lot cleaner. Engine bay will be re-sprayed, and the exterior will be painted Rat Rod Satin Black. Will be driving on the stock SS wheels, but replaced the rear tires with some Mickey Thompson, also have a cowl hood...plus many more goodies. Should be out soon, hopefully in a month. Pics coming soon

Welcome Sal; I just put a set of those MT's on my Bronze Brick. You'll love the traction, I went from spinning the tries (old BFG DOT drag radials) at 45 MPH on the 1-2 shift too 100% traction. And they work good in the rain also. Are you considering the Car Craft Nat's up in Milwaukee this summer (July 22-14), I hope to be their & run the auto-X. You mentioned a new exhaust, please take a look at my old (304 Stainless Steel) system as I have just replaced. I have a post on this forum & I'll try to link with my Craig's list post. http://janesville.craigslist.org/pts/5603684691.html
As you can see I'm only 90 miles North West of you. The system was on my car for years with 20 passes a Byron spread over those years. Many 12.5 passes through the mufflers during that time. So the kinks really don't hurt performance much, but they're not pretty! Take a look, give me a call if your interested, Bob Jr.
