Glad you decided to leave it Olds powered. :banana:
9 to 1 is just a tad more than the stock 8.5 to 1. It'll probably still run great on 87 octane.
G-bodies are full-frame, and Camaros are uni-body, hence the sub-frame connectors.
I wouldn't worry about a 307 twisting the frame... :lol: If I haven't had any problems with my car, you'll be just fine.

Yes 350 sbc will fit, I have an 83 Cutlass project going on now with a 350 sbc and a th350. Its some work, for some reason it sits closer to the fire wall than the 307 sbo. So the driveshaft needed to be cut, and the fan is nowhere near the radiator, custom motor mounts. But other than that no real big issues..

yeah decided not to put a chevy motor in the olds. gonna keep it all original.

Then you did something wrong. SBC engines came factory in G bodies so you could have used all factory parts and saved yourself all the headaches.
