Hello all,
On Thanksgiving my father-in law gave me this 86 Cutlass. He bought it brand new and parked it about 2 years ago,out in his back yard.It has a 350 sbc with aprox. 10,000 mi. on it,and a TH350 trans. It needs new brake cylinders, and a new battery, but it runs great, doesnt smoke. My mother in law says when they drove it last,it "flew"lol. The interior is in tip top shape, just a few cracks in the dash.Just thought i'd post some pics of this thing before I roll up my sleeves and go to town on this thing.I found a set of bare 462 double hump heads for cheap (100 bucks) and had them completely rebuilt w/2.02-1.60 stainless valves, .500 lift springs, port job, surfaced to 59cc comb. chambers. I've got an L79 cam in the mail right now.447lift/222dur.(Melling c-400-p) This car just needs a little TLC(paint, wheels, few engine mods, lots of time!) It looks worse than it is- I call it Project Olds Resurrection. I posted some pics in my album, and I'll post more as things progress.Nice meeting you all and looking forward to keeping up with the forum.-Kevin
