wow! that gp looks great but I'm really jelous because the 1st gen riviera is my favorite car of all time 😀

Yeah I dig it too. Driving it is a total trip! One-speed transmission. 2+2 leather sport coupe. And everyone loves it everywhere you go. That's probably why my wife likes it so much.

Any time you want to stop by and help me replace all the ball joints, brake booster, drums, tie rod ends....

BTW, I didn't pay a whole lot more for the Riv than the GP. Keep your eyes peeled! You never know!

me thinks your wife got the better end of the stick  jmo me thinks those 1st gen gp's(gp's in general) are the most hideous "gbodys period :puke: to each his own though.sounds like you got some great ideas though 😀 gut the 78 interior and cop a aerocoupe or at least a 80's gp and buy the aero nose(lauren engineering)and build up that "powerpL.A.nt"to install in it :wink:WELCOME TO THE SITE!!!

I know what you mean. My buddy has a 11 second 72 Monte that he built to show-quality. I've always thought those cars were butt ugly. And you've gotta be a little "different" to like the early Regal/Cutty/GP (or the aero-coupe for that matter! :? )

But the cool thing is, at least we're bringing out cars that you don't see at every car show! If we all brought 69 Chevelles, the shows would be AWFULLY BORING!

I'm hoping to have the time/patience/money to really take this car to show quality. And I "gave" my wife the Riv so she can help pay for the parts and bodywork!

It has a FACTORY CB!

How cool is that? Now to get it to work...

I see a CB micrphone, now is that factory or aftermarket becasue ive heard of the Rivieras coming with factory CB radios is this true?

See the letters "CB" on the Am/Fm radio, and the squelch button? Awesome huh? I bet this was a factory option on other GM cars from that era, maybe late 70's- early 80's? But I've never seen it before.

Now that is cool!!! I want one now haha. Nice gauges by the way, trying to find a set for my GP
