What's up guys, quick question so I'm looking into getting a 92 L99 and I was wanting to know if it will direct bolt to my th200-4r transmission? All Input welcome

L99 wasn't available until 2010, not 1992. If you are still talking about the newer engine, it can be mounted to the 200-4r, with a spacer adapter, but you will need an external way to provide Lock-up, and you will need an alternate method to provide VSS signals for the new ECM.

There was a 'baby LT1' 4.3 liter L99 available from 1994-96.
It will bolt to a 200-4R but you should look into whether you'll be able to connect your TV cable to the throttle body.

My bad. Just did a Google search and that was what came up. I hate it when GM re-uses engine designations ( like the LT1)!

Will do @clutch_grabwell I have the carb 4.3 v6 in it right now I'll have to change over to fuel injection.... what all will I have to do to change it over? Or is there like a conversion kit I can buy that has everything I need? Also how much would it run me $$$

what car is it from? You sure it's a L99 not a L98? They both will bolt to your 200r4.

Well it was posted on Craigslist as a 4.3 v8 from a 92 impala which I'm pretty sure is incorrect so I did some research and found that it was an l99 (lt1) that was made of the chevy caprice in 94. Which is almost identical to the gen. 2 lt that was put in the 92 corvette.

So any info in the carb to fuel injection change over

Pretty much any info you find for an LT1 swap will apply. The L99 is no powerhouse but they run good and get decent gas mileage. If the seller has the 4l60e available you might grab it too. As much as I like the 200-4R, the 4l60e is a little nicer in the sense that it's fully electronically controlled. That means no TV cable issues and the shift points and firmness can be adjusted by a tuner without even dropping the pan.
