Welcome and nice cars. That 78 looks like its far from a basket case it looks very clean straight and solid.

Thanks guys. The 442 ran 12 flat, But it needs a different converter, too tight. Couldn't 60' for sh*t. So hopefully before the year's end i'll have my new th350 with a brake and 8" converter built. Then she should be 11.5 or quicker.

the 78' looks very clean until you check for the gbody rot in the frame rails. I have the frame rails all new bushings for it now. That pic was from a couple of weeks ago, I haven't seen it since 2006! Now that I moved and have a pole barn, i have all my girls home, I was so excited to bring it home. Can't wait to put it all back together and drive her. Had it since 1995.

This is the engine the 78’ will get, eventually. Right now it rest in the frame rails of my77’ S until I rebuild my 455 for the S. It will be backed by a th2004r with a GM 8.5” rear with 3.73 gears, so the family and I can drive it on some not too long road trips ( 100 miles round trips).
