Being that my first gbody was a 78' GP I still have a soft spot for these cars.

Yup and she only drove it to the local general store and church on Sunday's

25xxx miles one 1/4mile at a time!!

Decent car, sounds like the wrong guy ended up with it though. Probably added a "4" in front of the price he paid for it, only to try to flip it. Happens I guess, just cheats those without a ton of money out of having an affordable nice old car.

Doesn't look perfect, so he might as well "pull it in the paint booth". Doubling his asking price after that will make him grow to appreciate the car, as he'll own it forever.

$8k-$10k painted? Dream on.

Old lady owned but was purchased from a guy has grant wheel and dual exhaust

Oh by the way it doesn't run right either.......

Don't worry he wants $4400 for it but next spring he will ruin it with a sh*t paint job and put an $8000-10k price on it.

It's a nice car I would like to have it but these sellers are idiots.

It should read :

Eldelbrock carb? That was a bit unnecessary I think.

Was wondering what that's about too. Probably getting loaded up with fuel or something because it's too much carburetor for that particular engine.

That's another few hundred needed to spend on it to source a correct Quadrajet and have it properly rebuilt. With that (supposedly) low mileage, I doubt it had ethanol blend gas ran through it. I guess it was just easier to run to Auto Zone and pick up a reproduction Carter than to actually take time or money to pay someone to figure out what may have actually been wrong. But then that would be cause for a $5500-6000 price tag.

He should buy a rebuilt Pontiac 455 from someone and then pay someone to install it. Instant $30,000 car then. 30+ year old tires and all.
