So the other day my 84 El Camino left me stranded it would nor turn over i had power and all my dash lights and voltage was good but no crank so i bypassed the solenoid on the starter and boom it turned on so i went to exchange it for a new one as it was still under warranty i installed it and same thing power but no crank im thinking its the Ignition Switch not to be confused with the Ignition lock cylinder. Can any of you guys give me some advice? I also checked all fuses i was also told it could be a fusible link where is that located and if it is that where can i buy it?

the fuseable link is located on the main wiring harnis, behind the engine block. you have to solder a new one on. if it is that i recommend in inline fuse to replace it for ease of access to replace it.
