hi all,

our city roads got so much pits my GP makes badly noise and body shakes when wheels drops into those road pits and it feels like car dose not has suspension system at all and and i can say that s not bad when goes on road bumps... but really bad about small pits even

i v replaced the body bushing 1 month ago about position #1 and 2 but car had same problem on road before replacing the body bushings .

all springs are stock and monroe shocks since 1.5 year ago
205/75-14 front tires

a bad hit can destroy a shock and if a shock is bad that can cause a spring to break so I'd start with checking those...

i think shocks are ok cause when i push the shock shaft down it comes up again and i am sure springs are not cracked

anyway i should say i did body spindle and brake swap and car came down 1inch but i am not sure if it effects ride comfort

if the shocks seem good then I'd do a bolt check to make sure everything is tight. Changing the spindle won't affect the ride of the car.

i did check all swaybar links/bushes and balljoints even upper/lower arms

can it be about stock 34 years old springs? anyway i remember same situation after installing a set of stronger springs too

it could be the spring isolators are gone and the springs at the top are sitting on metal

there is no spring isolators on my gp at all and i don't remember if it had before ... i can say both up and down side are on metal

i have a set of 73 malibu springs here what about using them?

the front and rear springs have a rubber isolator on them to keep them quiet. If you don't have them the springs moving on the metal will make some noise.

yes i have something like that for rear springs and it can help for less noises in front but how about ride softness ?

the isolator does not affect the ride at all....but the front ones are not that easy to install. The spring has to come out and if your springs are 34 years old it may be a good time to change them. It must be difficult for you to get parks in your in Iran. The governments here have embargoes against shipping just about anything to Iran andthey have to be licenced to send it.
