I think I might have to agree with you on the cam, your only putting out just over 300 HP and probably going through the traps @ 106. You are close to my combo but I probably have more cam.

Lilbowtie, it was running around 105-106 last time I ran it. That was with power steering, a clutch fan, a stock water pump, and 6000 rpm chip in the MSD. That's all changed now. I'm hoping that'll at least get me a little quicker.

You might have freed up a little HP - your only going through the traps @ about 5500 and I'm guessing anything higher will hurt you. There is a LOT more left in that set-up.

Yeah I'm excited to take it to the strip and see what it'll do in spring. I just went to a 6400 rpm chip, so nothing major there. It had a 7000 in it when i bought the car, and not knowing what the bottom end was, I wasn't real comfortable with that. I kinda figured the cam stopped making power by then anyway.
