Hey guys noob here and I hope to participate in the forum a great deal here in the future.

The other night I was talking to my Uncles brother and he mentioned he had an '80 Olds Cutlass sitting in his backyard, it was going to be a donor for his race car but was never stripped down. I've been looking for a new project car and I asked him how much he wanted for it. He said come get it that it was mine.

Sadly I have to wait for about 2 weeks to go pick it up because I have dead week and finals coming up (college student).

From what I know so far the car had been a diesel originally however at some point someone swapped that engine out for an unknown Pontiac V8. I am thinking a small block Chevy and a manual trans are what I'll be putting in it.

Anyway I look forward to spending some time around here and wrenching on the Olds.

Thanks Blake. I really can't wait to get working on my G Body the thing will be fun.

Welcome to the forum. Cant wait till you can get us some pic's

Thanks for the welcome guys. I can't wait to go drag the beast home, its still going to be about 2 weeks ugh. But I think I'll drag it home on a Saturday then I'll have most of Sunday to start stripping her down. 8)

I'm strongly considering leaving any body damage as is and paint the whole thing flat black and dropping in a 455 then head for the city and scare some city folk

welcome too the boards man. I second that vote for a 455, you could always go the olds 350 route as well

yeah I honestly can't complain about the price, rent a trailer and half a tank of gas to go pick the thing up and thats it
