Hello all. Just found this site a couple months back, but been a fan of the G body stuff since I started driving. Unfortunately, I must admit that I am one of those that are guilty of sending many of these fine autos to their death due to the dirt track and the drag strip. Now, I prefer to keep them alive. Current projects are an 86 Monte Carlo LS euro and a 78 Grand Prix SJ with 44k actual. Plan to keep the Pontiac stock, but the Monte is all toy. Looking forward to finding and sharing info on these GM beauties.

Welcome to the site from Houston. Cool cars!

Welcome aboard from KY. Those are a couple nice looking G's! You've definitely found the best car forum out there, the amount of knowledge and cool cars here is beyond what you can imagine!

Once you start toying with them, consider starting a build thread for each car so we can all follow along....and don't forget the pics, we all love build pics!

ldr , I just picked up the Grand Prix several months ago. I purchased it from the original owner. She bought it new in my home town and drove it locally for a few years then purchased a new Cadillac as her company car. The Grand Prix remained in the garage unless the weather got bad and then it became the foul weather car to protect the Cadillac from the elements. It definitely shows some cuts and bruises, but just can't bring myself to repainted it even tho she has had a couple repairs done throughout the years.

I use to pass a car identical to the Pontiac on my way home from work. Are you from the Carthage area?

Yup. If it was sitting at the top of the hill on Chestnut street, then it's the same one.
