I've found that for intial cloth stretching what works best is mixing a small amount of resin and using a small paint brush, i paint the resin on the edges of the part I'm gonna stretch the cloth over and wait till its tacky. Then I stretch rhe cloth over and it should stay in place. I just hate the thought of using hot glue... for anything... ever.

Good tip, I will remember that. I have never tried making things like this way so it is something new for me to try. I used staples and didn't like it.
