One of the tidbits I found interesting while perusing through the 1981 A-body assembly manual for the 2 door Cutlass.

Recall before I made a guide for the side moldings based on my 87 442.

This is looking down on the driver door front and front fender where they meet. You can see the gaps and the bevel cut of the door piece to ensure it doesn't hit the front fender when opening the door.

And I found another piece of side molding stuff in there as well that might be pertinent. Interestingly, they had a Buttless Cutlass version with side molding measurements, with a big "CANCELLED" stamped across it. :)
