i have a 82 regal with a bored 350 (355) mild cam 202 heads and roller tip rockers and turbo 350 it seam in first gear when i hold the car and wide open throttle throught the r's oil pressure will drop from around 50ish on my test guage to damn near 2 psi as soon as i let off or shift it picks right up to around 50 the wide open throttle in any gear seams to drop to around 25ish and idle to oil psi is around 2 or 3 psi and one have any imput on this issue or experiance the same?

It could be that your journal clearances are out of tolerance or could be as simple a defective oil pump. I would have to guess that it’s your journal clearances but I don’t claim to be an expert at anything in life. Maybe some of the other engine guys could chime in?

I'd try a different gauge 1st. What weight oil are you using?? Is the gauge mechanical or electric. Electric ones are not super accurate.

If it was truely only 2-3 psi with load on the engine it would have already spun a bearing or locked up. I'm betting on a faulty gauge.
