Galaxy far far away
Last week I found an old 1984 JC Witney catalog that was my late grandfather's. Looking though it they had all sorts of cool stuff that is no longer offered. Many different brands and models of dwell meters. Computer co-pilot kits, water injection kits, and 120 volt underhood generators. They had valves to adjust EGR flow, parts for Model As, chromed oversized push bumpers for Regals, opera lights, DIY gasket cutting kits, fancy aftermarket dome lights and map lights, and even Winky the cat! Lots of cool stuff I would not mind getting, really would like those push bumpers!

Here is Winky!

Before the 'net, that's all there was. Back then I think my whole car was built from the JC Whitney catalog. Lots of Cal Custom and Hawk stuff. I still have items like the pulse wiper control and third brake light kit. Best part was most things were American made.

As a young kid I couldn't afford the JC Whitney stuff, new. I would scour the junk yards for the stuff.

I used to love looking through the old JV Whitney catalogs. Good stuff in there.

I remember a lot of the funky accessories like curb feelers, rubber ground straps, suicide knobs for your steering wheel, fender skirts, dummy spotlights, blue dots (which are still popular today), half chrome headlight covers, custom tube grilles, sunvisors that go across the top of the windshield, wolf whistles, ahooga horns, hula dolls, bobbleheads, etc, etc.
