olds 3.8 to 307?

Just wondering will a monte carlo engine 307 fit into my cutlass with the 3.8. got a rebuilt engine from buddy who went to a vortec in his monte. also do i need a diffrent trans. im new to the g-bodys sorry in advanced for any stupid question i might have?

There was no 307 that came in a Monte, just a 305. We need to be sure what engine it is first to give you correct info.
