I'd like to agree here, but Chevy parts are easier to find / cheaper, or maybe he has a sbc 350 laying around.

meh, easier to find and cheaper.. not really, just depends on the hp barrier you want to break. it is easier and cheaper perhaps once you get into the 500+ hp range. for a street car the difference is slim to none, plus i like tq. which i believe the olds has over the chevy, is the torque they make

if that is what you want to go with, find yourself the motor and the guys here can help you along with the swap.

my car is pretty stock at the moment, all i did was paint, put true duals on the 307 and removed the cat. was originally a v6 car. so it has the 2.41 rear, and i have been doing suspension stuff as i gather parts for my olds 350 swap. put the f41 swaybars in, quick ratio steering box, and the gp frame bracing. other than that just cruising it around while i drop more money on the t56 swap and rebuild.

i have some pics in this gallery http://www.oldspower.com/photopost/show ... puser=7194

Plus the chevy motor is smaller, and headers can be had cheaper for it.
the olds 350 is a dieing breed, tho if I was running a pure stock division, I'd deffinatly want an olds 350.

Go to the Engines/Swap forum. There are 3 stickies on this subject. While they pertain to the Buick V6 to Chevy V8 swap, most of the info still applies, such as motor mounts, wire harness, etc. Also, the battery will need swapped from driver to pass. side.

Awesome. Thanks a lot guys.

Smooth, what color is that? Looks amazing. Did you remove all the side molding and trim too? I like that clean look.

You need to get a vid up of what the exhaust sounds like.

yep, my car only had the thin edging chrome and the door strips, but that is all gone. i would put a vid up but all i have for something that can get sound would be my cell phone

the color is a 70s chevy color, its called something along the lines of rootbeer brown metallic
