I bought a chrome dipstick from Summit Racing to put on my olds 350. When I put the new tube for the dipstick in the block it did not lock in place. The tube for the oil dipstick is loose. So I went back to see if they had any stick with a lock tab, and they did not have any. Can anybody give me any suggestions on how to keep it from coming out everytime I want to check my oil.

or grab one from the junkyard. IIRC they are all different so if you can match up a dipstick and tube you'd be set, if not, you may have to mark or scribe a slit in the dipstick for your oil. Mine reads 1 quart overfilled even though I only have the proper 5 in the engine.
