You may have, and I may have missed that post ... I have thought about using down pipes for an older car, like a 70s model...just wasnt sure....I sent an email to Pypes to see what they say....do you have a part number? I don't remember exactly, but didn't I tell you you can use the downpipes from Pypes? They're not listed as being for a G-body, but they fit just fine. You DO have to use the older style passenger side manifold though.
