If I were to make a block off plate for my exhaust crossover pipe, is there any one who makes front pipes so I can run duels ?? I will start too modify my trans cross member soon if this is possible. Thanks any help would be appreciated.

i doubt it...but its exhaust piping...The past owner just cut the crossover pipe and ran the rest of piping to the mufflers...So i figure and muffler sho[ can do the work for you

I don't remember exactly, but didn't I tell you you can use the downpipes from Pypes? They're not listed as being for a G-body, but they fit just fine. You DO have to use the older style passenger side manifold though.

The manifolds I have are from a 76 Cutlass. Is this what you mean by older manifolds, or are you talking about 72 or older? The car came with a 260 I have those manifolds as well.

You may have, and I may have missed that post ... I have thought about using down pipes for an older car, like a 70s model...just wasnt sure....I sent an email to Pypes to see what they say....do you have a part number? Thanks!

Edit....I found the post ... now I remember....

Edit....Pypes tech support says that they do not have pipes for my application...

You need to secure some manifolds from a Toronado. The Olds with a normal V8 only in front wheel drive. Even into the mid 80's. You can use the right side manifold and your left side manifold for a split, dual exhaust...if that's what you are looking for.

So you are saying the passenger side has only one pipe opening without the split?. Being that it is FWD it has the proper angle to clear the ac box, frame, and firewall, etc?

If you want to use the Pypes downpipes, you need a #4 exhaust manifold for the passenger side. It has a different outlet angle to it which the Pypes pipe is made to fit. The #4's were used in cars before cat converters came around.

I am saying off a car like this:

Smaller exhaust outlet versions can also be found on these:

Here is one I still have off, or a pair the LH side is normal Olds, the RH side is the one to look for:

Notice the center port divider...?

This is the 'normal' Olds RH side everyone has and hates, right...?

I did an image search, and this is the side you don't want, it will not clear anything:

Seems like the later Toro's have one with this on the end:

I will try to go over to my dad's and take pics of the '82 Cutlass I put the 455 Olds into, it was a Toro motor, that's is how I happened across the manifold. I have a few of the '79-ish Toro and whatever Buick called its versions (I have only seen them with Olds motors, even the Caddy's). I will snap a few pics of them too.

Astute Olds guys will pick up in the letter cast into this manifold and cry, because they have been laying around on Toro's for years!

Enough confusion for now, more pics will come if I make it over there today.
