Pretty sure that f body olds mounts use chevy frame mounts. It may be a drop in. Someone else needs to say if the frame mounts will need to move but I know f body olds mounts use a chevy clamshell style frame mount.

They don't. There is a slight difference where the mount sits on it. Also, the bolt holes for the attachment to the frame are different. They are also in different places on the frame.

Been there, done that with both style mounts and both cars.

Alright i have a good idea of what i'll have to do to fit the Th350 in.

I still need a brake setup for my 88 MCSS, i've bought slotted/drilled rotors and new alum. calipers for the 79 Trans Am. Will the brake setup from the 79 Trans am fit my 88 MCSS? The rotor/calipers for the Trans Am are Factory Spec. I will be using the 88 MCSS's spindles.

Also the 79 Trans Am has an all new rear brake setup, the car was drum from the factory not disk. My 88 MCSS also has drum brake, will the rear drum setup from the 79 Trans am swap over to the 88 MCSS?

The 79 Trans am has a 8.5" chevy rear, and the 88 MCSS has a 7.5 posi 3.73 stock rear end. I have new backing plates for the 79 Trans Am drum setup, if i can/ need too i think i can swap those over to the 88 MCSS rearend.

This might be the wrong section for this but, i have seats from a 94 Trans Am WS6 that i never got around to swapping racks for, they're still original. Will they fit into the 88 MCSS?

Brakes won't interchange between g-body and f-body. Either end.
