I said I think not definitely, apparently you still can get the parts for the 425 if you say you did. And obsolete just means no longer available in the auto parts warehousing business.

The bore is the same, the stroke on the 425 is 3.385 vs the 4.250 of the 455.

Better check your math. The stroke on a 425 and early 400 is 3.980". The small block Olds motors use a stroke of 3.385".
