What belt are you guys running for the ac compressor with the olds 455? My belt is tight but flops on the bottom side when compressor is engaged

That seems to be what they do on Olds V8's. Checked the tension and if the adjustment is maxed out, it may need a new belt. I like Dayco and Gates but I find all new belts stretch a lot, even had one Dayco serpentine stretch to where it started squealing. Get the shortest belt that will fit as it will probably need tightened multiple times due to stretch.
