I'm looking to replace my exhaust with a Pypes exhaust (SGG10S to be exact). This is the system where the pipes exit under the quarters and it has street pro mufflers. My question is how do the street pros sound? Also, I have an Olds motor with Hedman headers on it. Will this system bolt up? I hate how the passenger side header turns out towards the door, its a pain. Are there any headers out there for the small block olds that dont turn out like this, and dont cost upwards of 6 or 700 dollars?

This is what mine sounds like, olds 403, hookser super comp headers, and the mufflers are just on so i knew what it would sound like.

The passengr side flares out a little bit. Here are some pics, not the greatest but should give you an idea.

I'm running that system ( that's the X-pipe system right? ) with street pros and it sounds nice. Since my mufflers are dinged up and I need new ones, i got the race pros instead because they're supposed to be quieter but don't have them on yet so can't compare.

That's crappy massed produced headers for you!

Hell yeah!

Oh, then no....

With all the work you put into your car, do yourself a favor and just get the American Racing headers and NEVER look back or regret doing so. Don't you think paying a little more ( OK some may say alot more ) is worth it to get PERFECT fitment, more performance, no leaks, no bottoming out, no collector flange gaskets ( or mounting gaskets for that matter ) to worry about, and of course there's that little matter of the fact they will last you the life of your car instead of rusting out in a couple of years..... They're basically a $2500+ custom built set of headers for only $900.

My only regret with my ARH's was that I wasted my time and money on trying other things before finally getting them.

And my header endorsement is coming from a guy who HATES headers due to all the hassles. You simply don't have to deal with any of that typical header crap with the ARH's.
