Does anyone know if those rims have chrome behind the black or just bare metal.I have a set of these in poor shape for my 83 H/O and around the lugs is painted argent silver but not as much as the black.I would like to get a set of these and get them to work for my 83.

I'm pretty sure it's just painted, there are alot of issues of paint sticking to chrome. You can sandblast that area that needs painted and repaint.

The wheel is fully chromed first. Use etching primer over the chrome to ensure adhesion.

I know the selft etching primer goes very well with bare metal, but I never thought it would work with chrome. Thanks Joe you just gave me a few ideas!
