In the right car they can both do pretty well. But g bodies aren't the right car. The biggest difference is the olds heads, there aren't many options for making power with the 307. 305 you can have just about any aftermarket heads you want. In general the hi po 305's had more hp, and the equivalent 307 would have more torque. Depending on year/models options etc
