Well my cousin asked about my car, didn’t specify witch one? So it took a bit to dig into the past ET & weight slips. I’ll start with my first car, the 55 Chev @ 3245 Lbs. with Jahn’s 11: 1 compression pistons, 301” solid lifter Isky cam. I built it during my jr & senior years of high school, 60 years ago! I raced my buddy’s 63 Vette 340 HP w/ factory solid lifters, 11:1 comp 327” a few times, summer of 64. A 340 HP 327” would do about 14.2-3 @ 101 MPH 1/4. He would beat me by a car length, my best run I stayed on his door. So let’s give the 55 Chevy a 14.3 @ 98 MPH? Then in 1965 I purchased a 63 Vette 340 HP 327” & @ 3030 Lbs, I don’t remember ever losing a race with it. I raced my high school friend’s brand new 65 GTO twice, he lost both times. Next The Nasty L-78 factory solid lifter 11.25 comp 396” Camaro. 7000 RPM right off the show room floor, 3476 Lbs. Bone stock 14.01 @ 101 MPH. Of course I didn’t leave it stock! A year later 12’s on the street & by 1970 a 12.39 @ 109.9 best. But it was a bit quicker 12.2’s couldn’t find the slip. Ah the Bronze Brick we won’t even talk about stock as it & all of the mid - late 70’s & early 80’ cars were pigs. At 3500 Lbs. with my 3rd & sweetest 406” SBC 10.2 comp, solid roller & 205 cc AFR heads, a 3.43 gear, thru the mufflers. Just drive in off the street, many 12.5’s @ 110 MPH & best of 12.47 @ 111.89 MPH with the A/C belt off, summer of 2014. Forty+ years I had that car & now it sets with no engine as the new owner is planning? And last the 05 GuTOo Ls-2 same scale as the Bronze brick (both had a full tank of gas) 3900 Lbs. Bone stock 13.37 @ 103 MPH, 2008. A bit later 2013 with shorty headers (all runs were thru the mufflers except the Camaro) & Volant air box, night race 13.162 @106.72 MPH. Winter of 2017 added a ported OE intake & a dyno tune 337 HP at the tires. July of 2017 HOT 97* & humid, 13.194 @106.08, disappointed. Earlier this year 2021 after major Re-fresh & Up-date to 2009 MAF & Throttle Body, a Fast 102 intake ported by me & matched to the 5 axis port work the heads received w/ 227cc runners & a very modest cam 209*w/ .599 lift I; 217* w/ .607” lift E & short travel lifters. It pumped out 431 HP w/ 427 Lbs. Ft. of Twist @ the rear hubs. Those are good #’s for a L-65 auto trans. So I plan to go drag racin’ this coming June, looking for some 12’s. What caused this is Affliction is the results of Uncle Paul tossing his 15 year old nephew the keys to his new Corvette, fall of 1961.

I think you'll wind up closer to an 11 than a 13 at 430whp. DR or street tires?

Good Evening Mr. Nail head & all; Dunlop Sport, Direzza UTQG 200, OE converter & suspension @ 3900 Lbs. If I turn quicker than the Bronze Brick's 12.47 or the Camaro's 12.39 I'll be Very Happy. I can't wait for winter to be over, Ole' Bob. Ps: Back in 2017 I was still pretty quick at the lights.
