Well after weeks of sitting dead in my yard,as I have other obligations helping the old man with some other cars,I got time to install my gauge cluster...I had some issues from the get go,Ie dash lights didn't work, after a local mechanic played around in it he put a rheostat in..but then my ignitin buzzer stopped working as well as my radio and dome..will check that later...so I managed to take all my gauge cluster out..and painted the cover that was blue to white..bought a new circuit board and attempted to put back in..I ripped it! yup I was pretty upset, then I was told about a silver Epoxy...$50.00 later a few dabs and I was all fixed...
last night I carefully plugged my speedo cable in and hooked up the battery....this is what I got!
Yup and I can finally see the turn signals too...now to put her back...next step is getting her shifter replaced..and rest of wiring looked at...One small victory for this gal!!! 😀

Awesome... always satisfying to squeeze in those small victories when other obligations/lack of time put things on hold for so long...

Nice!!! Gotta love it when a plan comes together lol

Love that speedo, where did you get it. Nice work by the way.

I did a double-take myself, then realized "Oh, right, not in the US" - so the primary numbers are km/h and the inner numbers written smaller are in mph.

Lol King V..yup we got both...this car was made for Canada...still pulling hair out trying to get back to the car to finish putting the cover back on and fix the glove box the is broken..just a hanging there by the cable..keep seeing my old car calling to me,and I have to turn away..as Im being called back to the shop to finish rust removal under a 56 Chevy project... 😢 😢 😢 maybe today is the day!
P>S Neuron: why you want a Canadian speedo? I have another one on my parts car I can sell you least im pretty sure..lol..

Brain dead, did not realize the KPH, thought it was MPH. Rust removal, you do work hard don't you?

I'll see your 140 speedo and raise you 60. This comes from an export to Europe. The hard part now will be finding somewhere that can make a speedo adapter anymore.
