Open header question

I have ran open headers at a meet where I was the only muscle car and the rest were ricers. I want to run open headers in front of the school this upcoming friday cause I'll be graduating and it's the last day, so I want to make some noise lol. My big question is if i run open headers, will it hurt or possibly destory my valvetrain? Could anything serious happen to the motor if I do?

Are they full length, or shortys? I would guess (but get other opinions first) that with full length you would be safe, But IDK about shortys.

I have full length flowtech headers

I drove around in my 442 for a day or two when I put headers on the 307 before I hooked the rest of the exhaust up, and trust me, I gets old pretty quick...
