T Tops leak and rusted...is it just a matter of replacing the metal frame plates and weather stripping?
Depending on how bad it is yes. More details please 😀

It's an 1987.....seen it on CL for some time and finally drove 3.5hrs to see it. Seems the wife was selling a collection of cars her late husband had. This one was well taken care of just needs TLC to bring it back....Clear coat is done. Car was repainted 20 yrs. ago....looks like it sat out side for a couple yrs. I have a folder full of receipts over the past 20yrs. I've already ordered new hooker headers and exhaust and new t top rails and weather stripping through Gbodyparts. Lots of other little stuff to be done....or maybe big stuff?? I'm sure I'll be asking you guys a lot of questions on here and looking forward to your input! I put all new BF Goodrich all around too. I'll get some more pics up soon. Thanks for your interest.

Ok I replaced all the t top moldings using the replacement kit from g body parts! Was a bit of a challenge like they said on the web site, but with the right tools and a lot of patience, it can be done! Now just to let mother nature do her work to find out if they leak???

C'mon, just use the good ol' garden hose to test your work...

Let us know how is turns out.

PS, I suffer the same addiction, could be worse, but alas, there is no Methadone or clinic for our addiction....Hah Hah
