nice lloking garage is it yours

I have his and her's V8 Safaris. Her's is a 1999 AWD with a Vortec 350, built 4L60E, and 3.42s with a G80 locker in the rear. It is our daily driven family car, everything works, like a/c and cruise, etc.

Mine is a 1989 4x4, Tuned Port 350 with a cam and headers, SM465 4 speed, NP241 Transfer case, 3.73s with a G80. It has about 7" of lift. The hardest part was hanging the clutch pedal.

Neither is perfect, but both are driven regularly.

I guess I should update here since I have been actually working on a new project. Two months ago I obtained an 88 cherokee (freebie!!!), basically it's just a rolling chassis to replace my rotted 97 carcas. It had a few run ins with trees and ended up with a wadded up roof and quarter. My friend that I often swap parts with was going to fix it, but lost interest. So he gave it to me to dicker around with, lol. Here's the abomination I started with.

Pretty much rust free, but damaged, and full of mouse piss :puke: . So I gutted it, straightened it a bit, and buried it in and primer.

This was the side that was wadded.

I worked my balls off labor day weekend to finish the primer work, prep it and paint it. I mixed my left over paints together (from the malibu and the eagle) along with some old light green that was laying around (more freebies!!). So there it be, lol, total investment so far $300.

Kinda pisses me off, my paint on my winter rat is nicer than on my malibu,.

you know what that jeep needs? a 383.

If I were to do a V8 swap, it would have to be either an olds or an amc, though, a 383 Mopar would be kinda cool, lol. It's just getting a 4.0 though, it needs to be somewhat economical, lol.

Very Nice.
