Other Hobbies?

My main pastime hobby currently is the Caballero, but I used to do a lot of photography and veggie gardening. I also used to be very interested in coin collecting, but life and bills got in the way of that.

I still have my Aurora AFX G plus and magna traction car collection. Between my brother and I we still have a lot of track packed away. Back in the day it was a lot of fun.
The fun never ends. I got them & T-Jets, the newer Tomy Turbo, Super G+, Mega G, Mega G+ cars, some Tyco's, alot of Johnny Lightning/Auto World cars. Then there is the German Faller AMS cars & track. I can connect all three types of Aurora track with the AFX connecting to the Faller. The Jr. Mechanic loves it all cause he can be like Ricky Bobby & go fast (but we need a Ricky Bobby car for him.)

With the school gym closed my high school sophomore son has been lifting weights at home. I've been lifting with him. I'm almost back to where I was strength-wise when I was in college over 30 years ago.

I also picked my guitar back up after 15 years or so of not even opening up the case

Model building 1/64th agricultural equipment. For myself and for sale. Most of what I make from model building supports my car habit.

I was collecting farm toys for a few years too. Im thinking Ive got close to 500 of them. I stopped doing the fire and emergency vehicles because the cost of a DM went up. That made everything associated with buying them go up too. Airmail costs, the 2 German magazines.
One day I went to the local JD dealer to get a part for my garden tractor. I noticed the display of the 1/64 tractors and I was hooked. I even had a subscription to Toy Farmer magazine. Bought a ton of stuff from Key Aid distributors in PA. Farm toy shows. It was fun.
Then one year my wife decided to buy me a set of 12 NASCAR diecasts. All 1/64. I dont know why she did it but I can tell you after the first year she regretted it. I was going to NASCAR dicast shows all over the place. RCCA, Racing Champion, you name the company I have some. I have well over 2000 racing dicasts. I used to have a seasons worth on display in cabinets in my bedroom. Then they would get packed away as soon as the next season started. It was an addiction. Then one day I came home with a bunch of crap I found in the local Walmart at lunchtime. I probably dropped $40 or $50 that week on toys. Understand, this was when I was spending a ton of cash on my 81. My wife cut into me a little. She was right. I was spending money on crap that would get packed in my basement and never looked at when the new stuff came out. So I made the decision to quit buying them.
I have some really great stuff though. Not only NASCAR. Ive got over 30 of the Hotwheel sets. Some of them are really nice. The Boyds set was the only one I never got that I really wanted to buy. I also have a bunch of Ertl haulers from a place caller RGM Toys in OR. Theyre all labeled from fruit companies in the Hood River area. Stuff I'll never get rid of. When Im in the ground my wife and kids can decide what to do with them. LOL

Vintage hi fi. I have a set up of The Fisher (when it was made in NY) tube amp and tuner circa 1962, Kenwood KR-9400, Technics SL-1200 1st gen, SL-1300, SL-1650 all about circa 1977 (Japan), Micro Acoustic speakers (again, made in NY) circa 1972, JBL speakers (made in Los Angeles, CA) circa 1978 that I re foamed the cones on. Luxman amps, tuners circa 1990. Kef 104/2 speakers, Kef bookshelf speakers (England). We only have one TV in the house. I don't really watch it. Music is all over the house. With nearly 800 LP's, SiriusXM, countless CD's there is no shortfall of music to be enjoyed.
Would like to get back into my LGB G scale trains. It's all packed up at the moment. I do have a lot of train stuff that really should be set up and enjoyed.
I have a Beverage Air 3 tap beer refridgerator in the house that mocks me as I pass by. Just finished up a log of Lawson's Sip of Sunshine and Beer'd Grove Stand. Will have Grey Sail Brewing Captain's Daughter going on and New England Brewing Gandhi Bot too. Not sure about the 3rd tap. Most likely a porter that I will push with mixed gas (nitrogen and CO2).
Oh yes, poking holes in paper from 50 to 100 yards out as well. I do my hunting in the meat section of the supermarket at this point.
The 1988 Cadillac Brougham is getting close to driving again. Putting In Line Tube stainless brake and fuel lines in.
Looking for work. The virus bit my job.
