I phone my regular parts store for the alternator for my jeep. For a reman they want $268 plus the 13% tax... :shock: ...so I phone my guy who rebuilds and upgrades the alternator for my GP and he just wants $100 with no tax. I like these small shops where the owner does everything.. 🙂

And you are giving work to a local guy who will spend his money locally, not sending your hard earned to some faceless corporation probably overseas. 🙂

I would have called him first but alot of places aren't open today and I knew the store was. I didn't expect that price tho from the retail store. This small shop does starters and alternators and he backs up his work so it's nice to deal with him and your right about spending the money locally to guys just out to make a decent living
