Painting Exhaust pipes and muffler???

whats up guys I have flowmaster duals that are welded to 40 series mufflers, there in pretty decent condition but I wanted to paint them and wanted to know if high temp spray paint would work/last or is there another enexpensive way to make them look new again...Thanks for your help

If you paint them the surface needs to be scuffed to be able to give the paint something to grip to.
 
I have my whole exhaust from the collectors back painted with high heat paint "cast coat aluminum" and it is very durable and last a long time although I only drive in nice weather mine has been on there for more than ten years other than the tailpipes I made a few years ago. Also the only prep was a Scotchbrite pad and then wipe them down with thinner before painting.
