I have a friend in Las Vegas, Brian Baker who has "The Family Burnout Wagon" Malibu G-body wagon, who said he'll drop by and check out a lid from an 84 Bonneville I found on car-parts.com. It says it has a small dent in it but likely it's better than mine. I'll post an update when I find out more. Thanks for the suggestions to check there!

Bonneville, Malibu and lemans are the same for 2door and 4doors. My 2door malibu has a 4 door Bonneville trunk lid on it with no problems.

Sweet! Thanks for verifying that!! The car I found in Vegas was actually a typo on Car-part's website and it was actually located in Oregon. 🙁 But my friend that lives down there went scouting through a couple other yards and found a Malibu with a good trunk lid. He just wanted me to verify that'll work and will head back to grab it.

So, I failed on this. The parts car that SRD art found had already been crushed, likely before he even found it on the website. I went around to a few of my local parts yards and though I found a sweet lid at one of the U-Pull it yards. I didn't realize the trunk lids for 2 door regals were 19.5 feet longer than the Bonneville. I turned it back in. Sorry, I couldn't help more. Not much in the way of GBodies in the salvage yards around Vegas. Though there are some rust free ones on craigslist and facebook marketplace for decent prices. The car scene here is mostly new stuff. It seems like the thinking is, if it doesn't have A/C it's not worth it.
