Hey guys quick question
Ok so today i was just tinkering around with the 3.8 in my car
Well i wanted to chech the pcv valve just for the hell of it and because ive never changed it
well problem being i couldn't find my pvc valve
now i dont want to sound like a jackass because i couldn't find it
but i know it is on the pass side valve cover well what i found there was only an elbow with a hose leading to the intake where there was just a crank case filter
question being

Was i looking in the right place?
Why would my car not have a pcv valve?
and what could happen if i don't have on on there?

thanks in advance for the info

Its generally in the valve cover with the hose and elbow going into the carb. Im not too familiar with the 80s V6s so im not sure about that on your car. On my 400 I replaced it with a breather. I have heard stories of people blowing gaskets when not running PCV valves from the pressures of the blow by not being able to be vented properly. I dont know how much truth there is to those claims. If your car has one it should be pretty easy to find.
