x2 that's pretty sweet...how did you do that? is it just fiberglassed over? what's the process? eventually I'm gonna redo my interior and I don't wanna go too custom, but that looks nice, prob do all the interior plastics like that too

I'm curious to see the leather accents. I've been planning to do Ostrich leather inserts in the door panels on mine would also like to eventuall have the entire dash covered in a plain black leather with stitching.

The painted dash looks nice. Of course now your going to have to wax it and keep with the fingerprints. 😀

Looks cool.

Painting a flexible surface like that is kind of a gamble, I just hope you can keep your friends from poking it and cracking the paint...

i actually didnt do the work i found a guy on cragslist in maryland who does alot of custom work. the original dash that came out of my car was a little brittle an cracked up so i found one n a junkyard in great condition. the guy told me the process its not fiberglassed. this is from the orignal email the guy sent me "it is not necessary to actually fiberglass a dash to smooth it you just sand out most of the grain fill what you have to in a light filler. and use a heavy epoxy primer that will block out smooth and paint" i paid $300 for the work thats with the dash already removed from the car.

Nice. I am about to do the same thing myself to my dash. I am just about to buy the dash from someone on here. I will be posting photos of my progress. The dash that I am getting has a couple of cracks in it and I am gonna show how to repair those as well. The dash will also be sanded smooth, primered, and painted gloss black too. If you read up and take your time it should come out good.

That's cool -- hopefully it will hold up in the long run... Satan black would be good too.

That's sick bro I asked a couple painters to paint my the exact sameway and I got turned down. I guess I'll be posting an add on craigslist tonight. Wish me luck if your guy wasn't so far away I would send him mine. 1 guy local said he would do it for $550 & the seems high just to paint it
