I watch Pinks All Out and there has always been one question that I wanted to know. Why do they penalize someone for going to fast? I mean there are a lot of factors that play into how fast your car can go. Like if you tree Chris and if you do not spin the tires. Maybe you do not hop up and down much or you just drove straight down the track without much movement. Then you pick cars that are all close in times. Well One might be a tab faster then them all just because they drove better during the 16 then they did in the regular racing.

Second another thing I do not get is that yesterday during pinks all out final it was ford vs chevy in the finals in Detroit. Well the ford went to fast in the second pass. Well wouldn't that tell the other driver the mustang is faster then you. So the mustang drives slower to make it fair.

I think if your going to be a stickler on driving to fast and disqualify you why not do the same in the final. Well people like myself knew the mustang was going to win just because it went to fast in the previous run. So why do they do all of this? Sure would piss me off at

That's just bracket racing rules. You have to specify a time (dial in a time) that your car will run. You want to run as close to that time as possible, without going faster.

This is supposed to keep things fair. If you can is way faster than the time you dialed in, it will be harder for you to stick to your time. If the other guy is dead on, you will lose if you 'pedal' it at the end of the track to try to not 'break out'.

I'm not familiar with the ending run of those shows. It sounds like they bracket race until the finals, and then just heads up race at the end for the win?

If that's the case, the mustang either changed his tune, hit his NOS, or he was just sandbagging the whole time until the finals. Then again, like you said, the other car might have lost traction, didn't get the jump off the line, or whatever. When you're running fast cars like that, 1 car length at the end is a small difference in their quarter mile times. All it would take is to spin a lil off the line and the other guy will have you by a car length at the end of the run

Yeah, I saw that.... If it hadnt been in the final, the chevy would have won after they kicked the stang out. That rule is to make sure no-one sandbags to get to the finals. The thought is that if you are going 2/10ths faster than your previous runs, you must be sandbagging. It's the best they can do as far as keeping it fair....

Yeah I get it perfectly, but Why dident they do the same thing in the finals of the Mustand vs Chevy? You go to fast your our. If everyone knows the Mustang is faster then the Chevy then what kind of race is it. I think if you go to fast during anytime of the show then you should be out even if your in the finals.

I agree. If the mustang went too fast, he shouldve been kicked out, finals or not. I'm not just saying that because I'm a chevy fan either. Rich christianson sort of makes up the rules as he goes....

It is! In the previous run, the scoring system didnt work, and he had them re-run. That was unfair to whoever was ahead in that race. They should have gone to the tape and seen who was ahead. He has sold out. Instead of making it fair, he's making it interesting. Or, "Making good tv".

That is true, but the point I was making is that I do not like it how they get someone for going to fast. If you go a slightly faster then your last two current runs and your in the big show your out. How they they know you did not tweak something or do something different. Maybe you did something wrong every time on the launch or you treeded Chris. I mean they do not even put any consideration on that, but just that you went to fast ok your out. Then when your in the finals it alright to go to fast? Now I am confused how the rule changes. This show is great, but I am starting to not like how it is turing to sh*t.

I like the original pinks, before they had all out. I used to love that show. And I hate the word sandbagging now. The guy doesn't even seem like he knows anything about cars or racing.
