piston rings- whats best? brands to avoid?

well this is something of an assumption but, since hypereutectic pistons sit much tighter in the cylinder and expand very little, chrome or iron rings may be more than enough with good tolerances.
like i said, call the piston manufacturer and ask them what they recommend. also call the ring manufacturer and ask them what material yours are.

I personnaly think that when you are at the point of rebuilding your engine with fresh new pistons & rebore ......why back up on rings quality ?

sure cast iron rings will do , but plasma are way better technicaly for a slight price increase .....they are more forigving on cylinder honing , they seal instantly and much better, they last forever!
