I just got an almost complete maroon interior out of a 87 Monte LS that I'm planning on painting camel tan, I'll probably pick up some SEM - from what I've read, that's the stuff to use...I've also heard good things about the Rust-Oleom vinyl paint. Good prep work is the key to a good finish.....

Definitely. New paint won't hide scratches and chips. In fact, they often show up more. But, if you fix those flaws before painting you will end up with some nice looking stuff.
