Looks good! I wonder how well it holds up to the weather and sunlight.

Thats a good question, only time will tell. its just a temp fix for now. just wanted to get it all one color. in a year or so it will be painted.

What's Plasti-dip? Is that like the stuff you dip tool handles into?

Yep

Yep, same stuff. Except you can get it in a spray can now. Also you can get the spray able paint and use a gun to shoot it.

It's crazy popular to paint wheels with it. That's what I did with mine.

Looks great. I've heard the longer you leave it on the harder it is to get off. I believe there's a plastidip forum that has tons of info and tips...check it out

Thanks guys, i got it in 3 gallons spray gun kit from dipyourcar.com also got my new wheels and tires on today.

Ok, So I bought this guys car! It LOOKED amazing up close and from a distance. It runs great and with the exception of a few drivability issues it had, it's a great car. PLASTIDIP SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!! The first time i went to wash it, the stuff started peeling. No biggie right? WRONG, You can't just add to it, it has to be peeled off and resprayed. So screw it, i started peeling the whole car because i want to paint the car. Well fast forward over 8 months and I STILL can't get it all off. Not to mention it was not applied very well in some places. These hard to get to places where the application was poor is where i am having trouble getting it off of. The big flat areas are somewhat ok. Cracks and crevasse are a bear! Also, if you don't treat this stuff like automotive paint, it will not adhere and lay right. This means it WILL collect dust and dirt ALL OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was really hard to clean I used a spray wash first (started to peel) so switched to the soft brush, even a double scrubbing with the brush was a nightmare. Two hours on average to clean this car every weekend. So I decided to peel this crap of. There you go.

The best can tell from my research, is when the process is started, you need to prep it just as you would paint right down to the tack cloth. Then it needs like 6 -8 coats to make it smooth. Then it is ready for the streets. Either way, i will never use this stuff on anything other than like wheels or tool handles.

I've done a ton of work to this car since I got it. The only thing i can't stand is this stuff!
