I built a chevy 350 with a 350 trans. My crossmember sits back about 6 maybe 6 and a half inches away from my mount. I made a plate so it will bolt up. But now my steel plate is bending. What should I do?

What transmission was in it before? Did it have an over drive trans. If it did it could be why the crossmember was sitting further back. You may need a th350 specific crossmember if you don't have one. Plus the th350 crossmember uses different mounting locations on the frame.

Yeah I've seen that. I have looked at all the threads on here. Lol I have extra holes on the driver side. But not on the passenger side. I just hate to drill a hole into my fuel line running through my frame. It seems like they would make something to fix this problem.

Is it the 200 3 speed or the 200-4R 4 speed over drive? If it's the od trans you will need a cross member for the 200/350 which is a different mounting location.

If this is the case you will not need to drill holes just move them to the location for the cross member you are using.
