please help

well i got the beast running and man does she sound BAD *ss let me start out by saying lol

but to drive the car i gotta do two more things and they are -

reattach shifter cable, i cant seem to understand how to put it back, its a string with a bolt and a plastic thing thats suppost to stay in on a bracket on the trans im assuming but its broke and wont stay in place, what should i do??? i wish i never disconnected it but when i pulled the engine the stress was on it and instead of leaving it on a jack my dumb *ss disconnects it thinking how hard can it be

and the second problem is the kickdown cable, it goes onto the throttle cable bracket but car was originally 3.8 turbo fuel injected and the cable gotta be fully stretched to clasp the throttle. can i rig something up or do i need a whole new cable

help i wanna drive this beast lol

well not sure what cables you have sounds like the shifter one needs replace if the plastic clip is broke,as far as the kick down on you might need a diff one. with out knowing wich ones you have thats the best i can say

its a stock 200-4r trans floor shift and stock kickdown cable for 85 hot air regal

Sent you a text earlier guess you didnt get it. Anyway buy a detent cable for a Montecarlo SS they with the same trans you have that will be the correct cable. As far as the shifter cable you can get one from gbodyparts. Good luck.
