So, I have (2) black GTA's, (2) gold.........was thinking about which color to paint? Black, gold, silver, body color..........then I thought, why not stripping them down, and polishing them out....no paint or color.
I have the use of a shot blaster at work, but think it would be too much for the rims. Might leave a profile that would take too much to buff out.....chemical stripping? Awful messy.........

Number one I think the polished out wheels would look killer, and don't know which way I want to proceed in cleaning them up, and I thought too, how much trouble it will be cleaning the polish out of all those holes.....

Any suggestions?

It would be a pain in the dick to polish between all those spokes. It took me and a buddy quite a long time to do his plain 5 spoke audi wheels. But if your fine with spending a ton of time on them, they could turn out good. I would polish the lip up and paint or powdercoat the centers. Color depends on the color of your car... Mine is brown so i'd probablly go with a gold center on them.

What color is your car?

Salon is black, and Cruiser is maroon (with silver pinstripe)........probably be going on the wagon, but I can't help picturing how good they would look polished out......no paint, just shine.

Real fine plastic media is about the only thing that won't pit the aluminum up too bad if you want to blast them.

But like Matt said, be prepared to spend an insane amount of time on them... :wax:

I'd ****in cheat and just paint the center silver...
