I think it's a cool idea, but also a bad one. A thief could use it to profile you from a distance and make you his mark. Especially someone who has the rusty gold like all the 442 / GN / GNX stuff. If I make a virtual garage, I'd want it to be like, invitation only. Just like your real garage, you would only want your friends in it, right? For a virtual garage, it stands to reason you would only invite your 'friends'
  • into it.

The way things are today THEY can get your stuff no matter what you do, you could just be backing out of your garage and some one could see you just driving by, YOUR NOT SAFE NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO, crazy world now day, remember when you could leave your windows down at nite and not ever lock your ride (60's) NOT NO MORE SORRY TO SAY

I may be able to render an opinion now. Over on the G8 Forum, here is a link to what the Garage feature would look like. http://www.g8board.com/forums/garage.php?do=index

As long as the code lets you skip filling in anything that you feel is a risk, I don't think it will be so much of a problem as Pencero mentions. G-bodies are so easy to steal, it's always a risk just parking them anywhere. In Albuquerque, a friend of mine has a '48 Chevy pickup - starter is a button on the floor, one wire from the battery to the coil, and you're rolling. When he parks it, he puts it in reverse and uses a Club to hook the shifter to the steering wheel. The idea is to merely slow them down...

I would not have much to post. That said I would be the one looking but not contributing. Not that I would not want to contribute but I mainly cruse around in mine. As a cruiser bone stock works great (once the stereo was upgraded).

After agonizing long and hard about this I voted no, because there were only 2 no votes and I thought they needed my support.

Plus if you pin me down, I guess I like the free-form nature of threads in the wild.
